Welcome Wanita Wawasan (WWW)

so September sees WW

making it's big step into the big bad world of publishing,

helm under such a big name as off Wirda Adnan,

the previous editor for GLAM Magazine.

WW is published under it's own wing

and is solely standing without any sisters and brothers

which i think is quite hard to package an

advertisement deal.

looking at the editorial team,

it consist of fresh new talents 

with big semangat, i only see Rashid Hamid (stylist) as being a more senior

and veteran to the group (apart from Wirda off course)
and will give a great input
and ideas. 

i see WW having great potential 

and making it's mark in the scene,

but as for the 1st issue,

it's a bit too inspired by GLAM (the previous version before the revamp)

a wee bit of Nona and quit majorly looks

and feel like Diva. remember Diva?

anywhoot, 

am waiting for it's next issue.

any additional to the magazine scene is wanted

to make it a much diverse

and challenging the other tittles to 

go for goal.

when i was younger like form 3 or 4,

i was sooo amazed by this video

and the hidden quiz (can i call it a quiz?)
i find it to be sooo intriguing and waay smart,
plus i love how Bryan look circa this time,
he was cool without being ott,

Miss Universe? Mistaken, Misplaced, Misunderstood

  

i wanted to post this up earlier,

but was really down when i found up Miss D didn't become Miss U

Anywhoot, there i was early morning on a tuesday

awaken around 930 and ready to watch the live telecast of Miss Universe,

with my tiara (hair tied by a scrunchie)

sash (tuala mandi) and bouquet of flower (bottled drink)

i was so excited to watch the pageant 

and so confident Ms D was gonna at least be in the top 16,

when i turn on the tele it was on iklan,

so i decided to read people's tweet over bb

and boy! terus shut off tv,

turun bawah mandi n p kerja

sakitnya hati! 

She didn't even place dalam top 16,

and all this while the whole globe was talking bout Ms Henry

winning the coveted tittle? 

macam such a big duh!

so i skipped the whole thing and didn't even watch it,

sakit hati mak nok!

so selang sehari i googled the winner and it's Miss Angola

aka Leila Lopes, 25, Angola!

she looks pretty, great smile, kind eyes

gorgeous skin and great hair style!

the bun is soooo sesuai with a crown kan?

her evening gown looks good

and superb in a two piece suit

 all and all an ok Miss Universe

cuma the fact that Deborah Henry didn't place

just get me all wired up.

hmphh

will we ever be this united in support of a beauty queen

competition ever?

we wish

but one thing for sure,

Deborah Henry has united us all back as one,

for now at least!

Deborah Henry, 26, Malaysia

almost everyone i know is rooting for Deborah Henry

to take home the Miss Universe crown tomorrow,

she is our best hope as of yet to collect the title and the crown,

even pageant pros has name Deb to be part of the top 5

thus taking the sash. 

I've personally work with Deborah once

for a beauty spread for Eh! waaay back then

and she is majorly nice and sweet. 

This time around, the whole fashion scene is backing her up,

Deborah outfits during the preliminary round in Brazil

has seen her strut her stuffs in FarahKhan, Amir Luqman, Jovian Mandagie,

KLutched and many more (sorry if i've missed any major ones)

Malaysia has never been close to the Miss Universe crown,

Miss World on the other hand has seen Lina Teoh

nabbing the 2nd runner up position.

No matter what it is and i'm not comparing,

Deb to the previous queen nor vise versa,
and i don't think she's prettier nor smarter than the others,

i just think now is the right time, the right place,

the right girl with the right support.

we'll see how she does tomorrow, 

let's all pray for her,

and for Malaysia!

 not sure if you could recognize this girl,

but if your an avid fan of ANTM, 

you'll remember Nargis Fakhri

as one of the girls who tried out for cycle 2 and 3

she's a biracial Pakistani and Czech beauty,

though Tyra said no-no,

Nargis has been making waves in the Bollywood scene,

she's been busy modelling and will soon be staring in a local Bollywood 

romance/fight movie 

(pernahkah crite bollywood xde romance and fighting dush dush?)

titled Rockstar with a certain Kapoor, 

Ranbir not Shahid (cett!!)

anyhow, she was recentely featured on the cover of

Vogue India's September issue,

yes yes it's vogue india

but how many ANTM alumni can say 

they've been on the cover of VOGUE?

Anyhow we see Nargis dressed in Versace Fall Winter collection,

not loving the foil printed swirl though.

 here are the Septembers of this year,

being sold in your favorite bookstores and such,

again i'm sorry if i didn't get to round

every magazine out there, 

but even this is hard enough. Aduhai!

ha ha ha ha

anyhow, for some titles September is THE month 

of major fashion and trend casting

ala Vogue's September issue,

and yes it's made a major impact to the whole magazine scenes,

everyone's aiming for the hottest pieces of the runway,

the must haves of the season 

and the face that could help sell this issue. 

Gucci graces the cover of Glam, while Louis Vuitton in on Marie Claire's 

double cover feature

M Missoni is on the cover of new mag in town WW

meanwhile InTrend is a mix of high street McQ by Alexander McQueen and Diane Von Furstenberg

and eh! has their special Padini bumper issue. (love the fashion spread!)

men's tittles are also major this season

as we see Zachary Quinto on another double cover for August Man

which is shoot exclusively for them. 

As for Glam Lelaki takes on Henry Golding. 

It's Maskulin's anniversary issue

and 5 guys are selected to be their selling point

all suave in black. 

coming back from retirement Cindy Crawford looks major MILF

on the pages of Harper's Bazaar wearing Louis Vuitton
